About this directory

What this directory is

Austin Landscapers is an independent listing of 265 landscaping businesses serving Austin TX and the surrounding towns. It exists for homeowners and property managers trying to figure out who actually does good work, fast, before they pick up the phone. We are not a lead-generation service and we do not dispatch jobs. We are a reference: profiles, scores, and context you can check before you hire.

Each listing pulls from public business records (name, address, service area, license or insurance info where it’s posted publicly) and a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We read what customers are saying and summarize the patterns: response time, cleanup quality, pricing fairness, whether the crew showed up when promised. We do not copy or republish review text. If you want to read the original reviews, every profile links out to the business’s Google listing so you can see the source yourself.

How rankings work

Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, nothing else. The rubric weighs things like review recency, volume, sentiment consistency, and how a business handles complaints when they show up. You can read the full breakdown on our methodology page. There’s no manual override for a business we like better, and no fee that moves a listing up the list.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some pages carry a listing marked “Sponsored.” That label means a business paid for visibility, typically better placement in a category page or a highlighted slot. It never changes the earned ranking or score underneath. Sponsored placements are shown in their own clearly marked section, separate from the ranked results, so you always know which is which.

What a business can and can’t change

Any listed business can request corrections to its own facts: address, phone number, hours, service list, license number. We want that information accurate. What a business cannot do is edit its score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. Those come from the data and the rubric alone.

Who’s behind it

Austin Landscapers is published by Bluebonnet Local Guides. Rachel Delgado spent nine years estimating jobs and running crews for a landscaping company in Round Rock before moving into publishing, and she now serves as Managing Editor, maintaining the rankings and the rubric behind them. Her background is the reason this directory pays attention to the details that matter on the ground: whether a crew actually cleans up, whether an estimate holds, whether a callback happens.

Data is refreshed monthly across the directory, and each individual listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see exactly when we last checked it. If something looks stale or wrong, or you run a landscaping business and want to correct your listing’s facts, reach us at hello@bluebonnetlocalguides.com.

FAQ

Does paying for a Sponsored listing improve a business's ranking?
No. Sponsored placement is a separate, clearly labeled section. It never affects the earned score or ranking, which comes only from the published rubric and data.
Can a business remove negative sentiment from its profile?
No. A business can correct factual details like hours or address, but it cannot edit its sentiment summary, score, or ranking position.
How often is the data updated?
The directory refreshes monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
Where do the reviews come from?
We synthesize patterns from recent Google reviews and link to each business's Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself. We do not republish review text.
